The fisheries sector continues to face issues and challenges that have long been hindered further development, particularly in market access and climate resiliency. These issues were discussed during the 1st Fisheries Invesment Forum and Exhibit held in San Fernando, Pampanga on December 4-5, 2018. Fish farmers and cooperatives graced the two-day event which was organized by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 3, in partnership with the Philippine Tilapia Stakeholders' Association, Foodlink Advocacy Cooperative, and the Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture. Horizontal investment opportunities utilizing fish farms, credit facilities and other key interventions were also tackled. Aside from the forum, participants were also able to see exhibit from major partners such as Feedmix Specialist and Santeh Feeds, as well as product placements of some enterprises in Central Luzon that were available for sale.
